Advanced Special Education Attorney Training

The Disability Law Center (Alaska P&A) is hosting a five-day Advanced Special Education Attorney Training in Anchorage, Alaska, from July 24-28, 2006. Participation is limited to 30 individuals. Prospective participants will need at least 2-5 years experience in special education law and will be requested to complete an application form for the event prior to acceptance. The training will include a procedural focus on Schaffer v. Weast, and its impact on practicing special education law. Substantive issues will focus on Least Restrictive Environment and Discipline issues. The training will have both full group and small group sessions. Registration is $500 per participant.
