Staff Attorney

The Ohio Legal Rights Service, an independent agency of the State of Ohio and the designated federal Protection and Advocacy System, has an opening for a staff attorney. The agency provides representation to people with disabilities when their human and civil rights were violated because of their disability. The agency seeks applicants who are committed to public service and who wish to gain and/or improve their litigation skills.

Admittance to the Ohio Bar is required. The position also requires travel throughout the state. People with disabilities and minorities are encouraged to apply.

Starting Salary is $21.77 per hour (annual $45,281) with excellent state benefits including retirement, health care, disability insurance. The position is in a collective bargaining unit (OCSEA).
